Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is a unique healing art that has been an integral part of traditional medicine that can be traced back 2,500 years to Indian systems of Yoga and Ayurveda. Thai Yoga Massage is a holistic bodywork therapy that incorporates both yoga and massage by gently moving the body into yoga-like postures while applying various massage techniques to stretch and stimulate muscle groups, and the body's energy lines. This is a truly wonderful experience for both giver and receiver as energy blockages are released, boundaries dissolve and deep healing occurs in a space of presence and meditation. Thai Yoga Massage helps to strengthen the body and increase flexibility, while allowing you to benefit from the relaxation and healing properties of massage.
Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a cushioned floor mat or on a massage table, you are fully clothed in comfortable, loose or yoga style clothing. During the session, you are guided through a series of passive yoga stretches.
Rhythmic rocking, massage techniques, stretching and acupressure is used to create a natural and even pressure on the body and the client can use their breath to experience a deeper massage and release.

Thai Yoga Massage is a holistic therapy. The body is an ever changing network of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects that all influence each other.
The body's energy system is comprised of energy lines that run through the body. These energy lines cannot be seen by most people, but it is possible to feel them. They are part of many Eastern healing traditions and in Chinese Medicine, called Meridians.
Our vital life force energy, called Prana in Yoga, Chi in Chinese Medicine and Ki in Japan, travels through the meridians to supply the body with the energy that is necessary for our survival and healthy function.
Thai Yoga Massage works on 10 main meridians, called SEN LINES. While the sen are not specifically worked in every Thai Yoga Massage, they are engaged each time with the yoga-assisted postures and the thumbing and palming work on the body.
The spirit of Thai Massage is "Metta" which means unconditional loving kindness and compassion.
Metta is a practice for people of any faith.
Loving kindess is a genuine wish for all beings to be happy regardless of personal preferences and relationships and compassion is a wish for all being to be free from harm.
